CyanogenMod 13 ROMs Arrive For Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P

A couple of months back the CyanogenMod team confirmed that it had started working on developing ROMs based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow, just yesterday the very first Marshmallow-based nightly builds were released. The list of supported devices is not that big right now but the team promised to add more devices to it in the near future, and it has followed through on its promise by adding the Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P to it today.

CyanogenMod’s download page now lists nightly builds of CM13 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow for both Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P, the latest Nexus handsets that Google unveiled only a few months back.

It’s not like people who own these devices have been anxious to get a taste of Marshmallow, these handsets ship with Android 6.0 straight out of the box, however the CM ROMs offer many features that stock Android doesn’t and that’s one reason why most Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P owners will flash these ROMs.

Users have to keep in mind though that these are nightly builds, they’re not quite ready yet so they can expect to encounter a few bugs here in there, but the team will regularly release updates for the ROMs to ensure that things keep moving along just nicely before the stable builds are released further down the road.
