iPhone 7 Could Be Launched Earlier Than Usual [Rumor]

apple_logoApple’s iPhones for the past few years now have typically launched in September, like we saw a few months ago when the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus were announced. However could it be that Apple could be thinking of moving up the launch date of the iPhone 7? According to a report from AppleInsider, the answer is yes.

Prior to the iPhone 4S, Apple’s previous iPhones were typically launched mid-year during the company’s WWDC event. However AppleInsider’s sources did not mention when exactly the phone’s launch would be moved up to, but WWDC does seem like a possibility. Now we should note that in the past there have been many rumors suggesting early iPhone launches, but all of them have since failed to come to fruition.

We’re not sure if this one will even though AppleInsider points out that their source have provided pretty accurate tips in the past. That being said, many are talking about the iPhone 7 as being the biggest change Apple will be making to date. A recent report from noted analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has even suggested that the iPhone 7 Plus could get a bump in RAM to 3GB.

This would be a pretty big deal given that Apple doesn’t typically introduce RAM upgrades that often. In any case take all of this with a grain of salt for now, but what do you guys think an earlier iPhone launch could mean? Could it be an indication that maybe the current-gen models aren’t selling as well?
