Activision has recently announced the first DLC pack for Black Ops 3. Dubbed Awakening, the DLC has been given its release date which has been set for the 2nd of February, 2016 where it is expected to make its way onto the Sony PlayStation 4 first before it is eventually rolled out to other platforms.

The DLC will see the addition of four new multiplayer maps to the game. This includes Gauntlet which according to the description is a classic three lane map structure. Players are expected to battle through a sprawling jungle, a sub-zero arctic zone, and a rainy urban cityscape. The next is Splash which is set in an abandoned water theme park.

According to its description, “Splash is designed to drive an open flow of combat, including plenty of opportunities for underwater gameplay.” There is also Rise which takes place in the outskirts of Zurich. The map is expected to feature “a mix of classic Call of Duty cover combat alongside strategic core movement opportunities”.

Last but not least is Skyjacked. This is based on an older Call of Duty map called Hijacked and takes place on a security VTOL in the clouds above Zurich. Apart from the new maps, players will also be able to access an all-new Zombies storyline that will carry over to future DLC packs. Awakening will be priced at $15 by itself, but if you purchased the Season Pass it will be included already.
