Latest Fruit Ninja Update Brings It Back To Its Roots

fruit ninja premiumFruit Ninja was one of the early games for smartphones back in the day. It was released back in 2010 which means that it has been around and has been constantly updated for the past 5 years. Pretty impressive as far as mobile games are concerned as many games from back then have since been understandably abandoned.

Fruit Ninja’s updates have increased the game’s features and complexity which we guess was a welcome change, but in an interesting move, Halfbrick Studios has announced its latest update which brings the game back to its roots, sort of, in what the developers are calling a “new premium experience”.

Basically Halfbrick has removed a ton of the new features of the game, leaving behind the core gameplay modes that gamers have come to know and love. They have also removed all in-game currency and have converted existing currencies into experience points. There will still be in-app purchases where gamers can purchase power-ups, although alternatively they can be earned by watching videos or completing missions.

However everything else should remain the same and all your progress like unlocked blades and dojos should remain untouched. If anything Halfbrick has actually added new items and have also raised the level cap to 100. The latest update is available for download via the iTunes App Store or Google Play.
