Galaxy S7 To Sport Pressure-Sensitive Display, High-Speed Charging Port

Samsung-Galaxy-S6-Edge-Plus-01The Samsung Galaxy S7 is most likely to be announced in 2016. When exactly is anyone’s guess although we have heard possibilities in either January or February 2016. That being said, what kind of features can we expect from Samsung’s new phones? According to a report from The Wall Street Journal, pressure-sensitive displays and high-speed charging could be some of them.

The report claims that for Samsung’s upcoming flagship smartphone for 2016, a pressure-sensitive display is a potential feature. This seems to lineup nicely with a rumor we heard back in October. There is also talk about a high-speed charging port, although whether or not this port is based on USB-C remains to be seen, but there have been rumors that Samsung could be considering USB-C for the Galaxy S7.

The Wall Street Journal’s report also confirms that the Galaxy S7 won’t be too big of a departure from the Galaxy S6. This is also in line with what we have been hearing recently. Other rumored features includes an iris scanner, along with Samsung launching curved screen variants of the phone. Last we heard, there could be four different Galaxy S7 handsets launched.

In any case these rumors are best taken with a grain of salt for now, but with CES taking place next month and MWC the month after, we won’t have to wait too long to see what Samsung has in store for us.
