Google Is No Longer Selling The Nexus 6

nexus-6-review-heroThe Nexus 6 was launched in 2014 and has since been succeeded by both the Nexus 5X and the Nexus 6P, both of which are Google’s latest flagship smartphones. Now if for whatever reason neither device is to your liking and you would love to get your hands on the Nexus 6, you would be out of luck.

It seems that Google has recently stopped selling the Nexus 6. On its product page, Google notes that the handset is no longer available for purchase. This hardly comes as a surprise given that Google has at least two new phones in their lineup which presumably they would rather customers purchase than last year’s model.

That being said we suppose if you want to get your hands on it, you can always try third-party stores and retailers, such as eBay or Craigslist, but as far as official channels are concerned we guess that’s no longer viable. That being said, while the Nexus 6 was a solid effort from Google and Motorola, it did not seem to share the same popularity compared to its predecessor the Nexus 5.

It also marked the first time that Motorola has made a Nexus handset for Google. Prior to that, both Samsung and LG pretty much dominated the Nexus lineup, although HTC and more recently Huawei managed to get in phones of their own.
