2nd Gen Moto G Gets Marshmallow In The U.S.

You might want to pay attention if you happen to own a 2nd generation Moto G handset. The affordable Motorola smartphone is now receiving the much awaited Android 6.0 Marshmallow update. This handset never appeared to be a priority for the company in the United States, it didn’t even released the LTE variant in the country, but users who do own this device will no doubt appreciate the release of Marshmallow.

Even though it has been quite a few months since Google released Marshmallow there are many OEMs that still haven’t updated their handsets, even the flagship ones, to the latest software. Like always it’s proving to be a very slow and arduous process for everyone involved.

The 2nd generation Moto G has already received the Marshmallow update in markets like Brazil and India where it ended up performing very well. The update released today in the United States brings January security patches as well as everything that comes part and parcel of Marshmallow.

Some major features in Android 6.0 include Google Now on Tap, doze mode and granular permissions aside from user interface improvements and overall fixes. Android 6.0 Marshmallow for the 2nd generation Moto G is now rolling out over-the-air for users in the United States.
