Amazon’s first live TV show has debuted today on its online video streaming service. The show is called Style Code Live and it will be available to stream for free on Amazon whether or not you’re an Amazon Prime subscriber. For now, the show is not supported by ads, and it will air every weeknight at 9 pm ET or 6 pm PT on Amazon.

Style Code Live is a 30-minute daily show with segments on beauty and fashion. Hosts include a former Big Brother star, an MTV presenter and a former Miss America.

Viewers will see the hosts, Rachel Smith, Frankie Grande and Lyndsey Rodrigues, do live interviews, makeup tutorials and much more during their 30-minute slot.

Since it’s an Amazon production you can expect there to be a shopping element involved. Viewers will get a live opportunity to purchase the items that are featured in the various segments on Style Code Live, it’s essentially the QVC model, but in a more modern way.

It merits mentioning here though that Amazon really isn’t doing anything groundbreaking with Style Code Live. Just pop over to YouTube and you’ll find dozens of shows on beauty and fashion, and it’s not like those YouTube creators don’t try to push beauty products in their shows.

Content is how Style Code Live can really set itself apart from the competition, the team running the show will certainly be aware of that, so it will be interesting to see how they take things from here.
