Google Introduces MODE Snap-And-Swap Bands For Android Wear Smartwatches

Customers who are in the market for a new Android Wear smartwatch have a lot of options to choose from, they can get an Android Wear smartwatch from 12 different brands and can choose from thousands for interchangeable watch faces to suit their style. To provide users with even more options to personalize their smartwatches, Google today introduced MODE snap-and-swap watch bands for Android Wear devices.

It has made this new MODE watch bands in collaboration with b&nd by Hadley Roma. These watch bands feature just one slide button which makes it very easy to attach and detach bands in one click.

These bands are very versatile, they’re available in four widths and fit most Android Wear smartwatches, and they even work with conventional watches. The first collection is available in leather and silicone with a rainbow of colors to choose from.

Google says that this is just the beginning and that it’s going to share the MODE mechanism design and source with other brands so that they can also create their own snap-and-swap watch bands for Android Wear smartwatches.

MODE bands for Android Wear smartwatches can now be purchased through the Google Store, Amazon, and Best Buy in the United States. Prices start at $49.95.
