Sony has just confirmed that it’s next major software update for PlayStation 4, version 3.50, is going to be released tomorrow. The update is going to bring several new features for the console including game streaming for PC and Mac. The software has already been provided to beta program members a few weeks ago and back then Sony outlined some of the features that are coming with it. New features make it easier to play together with friends, there’s the ability to appear offline and much more in PS4 software version 3.50.

“Online Status” is a new option added in the Profile tab, from here players can choose to “Appear Offline.” This will allow them to easily play games on their own and watch movies without letting their friends know that they’re online. The update also enables users to get notified when their friends come online.

Remote Play for PC and Mac comes to PlayStation 4 with software version 3.50. It’s compatible with machines running Windows 8.1, Windows 10, OS X 10.10 and OS X 10.11. This will allow players to stream games to their computers.

Resolution options are limited to 360p, 540p, 720p at Standard (30fps) or High (60fps) frame rate. One DualShock 4 controller can be used for Remote Play which needs to be connected to the computer via a USB cable.

Sony is going to start rolling out the software version 3.50 for PlayStation 4 tomorrow. Once the update is released the Remote Play apps for PC and Mac will be available from the company’s website.
