However with the upcoming iPhone 7, things could change, at least according to Nomura Securities analyst Chris Chang. According to change, he believes one of the changes Apple could be making to the iPhone 7 later this year would be by giving its camera optical image stabilization. To that end, Chang also believes that this could result in the iPhone 7 costing Apple more to build because of said technology.
Like we said, OIS is currently only found in the Plus models in the iPhone lineup, so for the regular iPhone model to feature the tech would be a nice touch. However the previous rumors had also indicated that Apple would be looking to differentiate the iPhones even further by giving the Plus model a dual camera setup, which last we heard could be supplied by LG and not Sony.
Other rumors also indicate that the Plus model could come with 256GB of storage as one of its options, although given the price of iPhones we’d hate to think how much that could cost.
