Galaxy S7 Edge Olympic Edition Now Available In The US

gs7e_olympic_2Earlier this month Samsung confirmed the Galaxy S7 Edge Olympic Edition. The company also announced that the phone would be available in the US for purchase, and the good news for collectors of limited edition handsets or if you’re just looking for a new phone in general, it looks like the Galaxy S7 Edge Olympic Edition is now available in the US.

The handset will not come cheap as Best Buy has it listed for a whopping $850, making it almost $100 more than the regular 32GB Galaxy S7 Edge, but then again it is a limited edition handset with just 2,016 units being produced, so if you’d like to get your hands on it to show off to your friends, we guess that’s the price you’ll have to pay.

Obviously the $850 price tag also means that the handset is unlocked, meaning that you are not tied to any particular carrier. This gives you the freedom of choosing your carrier which also makes it easier to swap to international carriers when you are traveling overseas. Other than the new paint job, which we have to admit is pretty sleek, the rest of the handset will remain the same as the regular Galaxy S7 Edge.

Is $850 worth it to own the handset? So far reviews of the S7 Edge have been favorable but whether you can justify paying $100 extra depends on you.
