Moto Z Play Makes An Appearance On AnTuTu

Antutu-moto-z-play-752x490Last month Motorola announced the Moto Z Force handsets. There is no word on when we might be seeing new Moto X devices meaning that for now, it looks like the Moto Z lineup will be Motorola’s flagship for now. However if you’re not the type that pays for flagships, fret not as it looks like we might have a cheaper version for you.

A recent sighting on the AnTuTu benchmarks has revealed that we have a Moto Z Play in the works. This kind of confirms what we heard back then as the device was also spotted on Geekbench sporting a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 chipset. That and the rest of its specs certainly makes for a pretty decent mid-range phone.

If the AnTuTu benchmarks are accurate, we’re looking at a handset with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage (it is unclear if this will be expandable via microSD, but hopefully it is). It also appears to have a Full HD display, although the display size was not mentioned, and a 16MP/5MP camera combo.

While battery was not mentioned, it has been rumored to pack a 3,500mAh battery which is pretty decent. Word has it that there is a 2GB variant as well that will be cheaper, but there has been sign of that device either. It is unclear as to when Motorola might announce the Moto Z Play, but we’ll keep our eyes out for it.
