Alleged iPhone 7 4.7-inch & 5.5-inch Display Panels Leaked

iphone_display_leakedSo far all we’ve heard about this year’s iPhone is that most of the changes will be under the hood. In terms of a redesign, there does not appear to be anything major done. Some slight changes here and there, but overall it will still look like the iPhone 6/6s and 6/6s Plus. That being said, it seems that there are some changes that we did not expect.

So far the rumors have been pointing at a faster processor, more RAM, dual cameras, and a redesigned home button. However according to the latest rumors, we could also be looking at an increase in screen resolution. This followed an image that is allegedly the display panel of the upcoming iPhone 7 and 7 Plus.

Both models are expected to retain the 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch display sizes. However the rumors are also claiming that Apple will be bumping the screen resolution for the 4.7-inch to Full HD, and 5.5-inch to 2K (presumably 1440p). As it stands, the 4.7-inch iPhone sports a 750×1334 resolution, while the 5.5-inch model is Full HD.

Making changes to the display resolution is a pretty huge leap and the first we are hearing about it, so naturally it’s best to take it with a grain of salt for now.
