Recent OnePlus 3 Update Seems To Have Created Some New Problems

oneplus_3_001Just recently OnePlus announced that they were pushing out an update to its OnePlus 3 handset. According to the company, the update is expected to “Fixed the auto-reboot issue. Improved call quality. Implemented various fixes and carrier optimizations.” All of this sounds great, but unfortunately it seems that in the process of fixing things, it has broken things as well.

According to several user reports, it would seem that after the update, users are experiencing new problems on their phones. For example one of those problems seems to have caused Android Pay to stop working. Also it seems to have messed up the front camera’s autofocus, and the Doze feature is still breaking notifications.

There was also no clear mention of whether this update has addressed the recently publicized Quadrooter vulnerability. Some users have also complained that the phone is also rather quick to drop from a 4G LTE signal to 3G, followed to 2G, which can be rather annoying. It is unclear how widespread these issues are as there are many OnePlus 3 owners who do not seem to have a problem with it.

It is possible that maybe these are isolated incidents, but if you are planning on updating to the recent update, then maybe these are some of the problems you’ll want to keep an eye out for, just in case.
