The iPhone 7 Does Not Appear To Bend As Easily

The iPhone 6 when launched a couple of years ago was faced with a problem: bending. Users were reporting that their phones were so malleable that putting it in their pocket and sitting down actually resulted in their phones getting bent. This issue seems to have lessened with the iPhone 6s, but what about the iPhone 7?

For those worried about an iPhone 7 Bendgate scandal, you can rest easy because in the video above by YouTuber JerryRigEverything, it shows that the iPhone 7 doesn’t bend as easily compared to the iPhone 6, meaning that the apparent hissing noises some users are hearing might be the only problem you’ll have to worry about (for now).

Now we should point out that JerryRigEverything’s testing is far from scientific as he simply uses his hands to bend the phone. Given that there are many variables that could have affected his strength and grip on the iPhone 7 versus the iPhone 6 from 2 years ago, we wouldn’t exactly take his test as “fact”, but if anything it does seem that it requires considerably more strength to try and bend the iPhone 7 compared to previous models.

Of course this hardly makes the phone perfect especially for those who buy the scratch-magnet Jet Black iPhone, but for those worried about durability, bending is one thing you won’t really have to worry about, although you probably still shouldn’t sit on it (that pretty much applies to all phones).
