iPhone 7 Plus Could Have 3GB RAM According To Benchmark

iphone-7-plus-dual-camera-BThe thing about Apple is that they don’t really like diving into technical details when they announce their phones. Sure, they might share some numbers like percentages on how much faster their phones are, how many more hours they can get in terms of battery life, but you rarely see Apple talk about clock speed, RAM, and so on.

What this means is that we usually have to wait for benchmarks and teardowns if we really want to know the technical details about Apple’s products. Recently benchmarks have surfaced for the iPhone 7 Plus and it looks like one of the rumored features has been confirmed, which is that the iPhone 7 Plus comes with 3GB of RAM.

The benchmark lists the iPhone 7 Plus as having 2,998MB which we can safely say equates to about 3GB of RAM (not 100% exact but we reckon it would indicate 3GB instead of 2GB). Like we said, this confirms an earlier rumor which hinted at the iPhone 7 Plus’ 3GB of RAM due to the dual camera system in which it would need more RAM to process the images.

This is an upgrade over the iPhone 6s Plus which has 2GB of RAM. As for the smaller iPhone 7, benchmarks from earlier this week revealed that it has 2GB of RAM, which we guess makes sense since it does not have the dual camera system.
