They have announced that they are developing AI for motorcycles which they are calling the Kanjo Engine. The idea is that this platform will be able to provide companionship to the rider, monitor their status, and so on. It is also supposed to be able to understand natural human speech, so in a way you could think of Kanjo Engine as being the Knight Rider for motorcycles.
On top of users being able to make certain changes and tweaks to their motorcycle through the AI, the AI will also be smart enough to learn the rider’s habits and preferences the more they use it. We’re not sure what the end-goal is or how Kawasaki plans on integrating it into their bikes, like through a touchscreen display panel, or just through a microphone, but like we said, AI solutions for motorcycles are few and far between compared to cars so it’s nice to see that some attention is being paid to be bikes.
