Airlines Stock Fire Containment Bags For The Note 7

galaxy-note-7-design_05-black-cameraNot only are the first batch of Galaxy Note 7s catching on fire, but last we heard, even the replacement units are experiencing problems as well. One of the more notable incidents was actually on board a Southwest Airlines flight where a replacement Note 7 handset had begun smoking.

Now a lot of airline companies have already issued written warnings and verbal warnings about using/charging the phone while on board the plane, but we guess there are some people who think that they’re the exception and use their phones anyway. Thankfully according to a report from The Wall Street Journal, many major airline companies have started to stock fire containment bags in the event that a Note 7 does catch on fire.

On top of being kept on board planes, these fire containment bags are also said to be provided at certain airports so in the event that something does happen, it can be contained, or passengers can just pick up one and bring it with them just in case. It is said that these bags are constructed of the same material as the return kit that Samsung has distributed to customers, and will also come with a pair of safety gloves for handling the device.
