Lenovo confirmed its Project Tango smartphone a few months ago. It’s called the Phab2 Pro and it was actually supposed to be released this summer but it’s not out yet. Lenovo delayed the release and said that it would be released at some point in the fall this year. Some even speculated that perhaps this handset may never see the light of day. A new report claims that Lenovo is probably going to launch this handset next month.

According to a report, Google VR head Clay Bavor has said that early adopters will be able to acquire the Lenovo Phab2 Pro starting November this year. The confirmation came following yesterday’s event in which Google released several new devices including new smartphones under its Pixel brand.

Not much has been said about this Project Tango smartphone ever since it was confirmed a few months ago. It was said back then that this handset would cost $499 unlocked in the United States and so far no change in the price tag has been communicated.

A precise date has still not been provided but at least now we know that early adopters will be able to get Lenovo’s first Project Tango smartphone next month. Hopefully, it won’t be delayed any further.
