New Dell Chromebook Reportedly In The Pipeline

It has been a while since Dell came out with a new Chromebook and that might be about to change in the not so distant future. According to reports, Dell is working on a new Chromebook that it’s internally referring to as “Asuka.” The evidence isn’t conclusive at this point in time as it’s based on contributions being made to Chrome OS commits, but it’s enough to not completely rule out the possibility.

Dell has not said anything about a new Chromebook yet and it has been a long time since the Chromebook 13 was launched, so it’s not like a new Chromebook isn’t due from the company.

The Chromebook 13 was well received when it was launched. It was a high-end Chromebook with options for customers who were looking for more performance, they could opt for Core i3 or i5 processors with up to 8GB of RAM. Dell demonstrated with this product that it can build a mean Chromebook so naturally, quite a few people will be looking forward to its next one.

No further details are available at this point in time about Dell’s rumored Chromebook. The report that suggests that it’s in the pipeline is a little slim on the details so hopefully we’ll find out more about this product soon enough.
