Sprint Announces Pokemon Go Partnership

Sprint today announced that it has become the first U.S. partner of Pokemon Go. This wireless partnership is going to integrated Sprint, Boost Mobile, and Sprint at RadioShack locations across the country as Gyms and PokeStops. This special Pokemon Go experience in will be offered in more than 10,500 Sprint locations combined across the United States.

Starting December 12th, trainers will be able to visit select Sprint, Boost Mobile, and Sprint at RadioShack stores to engage with Pokemon Go which has become a global phenomenon in its own right.

Pokemon Go players can go to these locations to collect in-game items such as Eggs and Poke Balls to further advance in the game. They will also have a go-to location where they can pit their Pokemon into battle against other Pokemon at Gyms sponsored by Sprint. The carrier’s locations will also be open to players who just want to recharge their phones.

“Pokémon GO is one of the most popular mobile games in history, and now players will be able to visit Sprint, Boost Mobile and Sprint at RadioShack stores to collect Poké Balls, Potions, Eggs and Razz Berries to make them a top Pokémon GO Trainer. We will also provide charging stations in stores so Trainers never have to worry about losing power,” said Sprint CEO Marcelo Claure.
