Galaxy S8 Release Expected In Third Week Of April

There are a lot of rumors and reports floating around these days about when Samsung is going to show off its next-generation flagship smartphone. The latest report suggests that the company will be able to produce some units of the Galaxy S8 to unveil the handset at Mobile World Congress 2017 in Barcelona next month. As far as the release is concerned, a new report from South Korea claims that the Galaxy S8 is going to be released in the third week of April.

Samsung normally launches new Galaxy S flagship smartphones at the MWC event in Barcelona. However, it was expected to skip the MWC unveil this year because Samsung was thought to be conducting a separate event for the Galaxy S8 in New York this April.

The South Korean company hasn’t confirmed anything about the Galaxy S8’s announcement right now. An MWC 2017 unveil remains on the table since Samsung is yet to deny the possibility. For now, the consensus appears to be that the handset will be unveiled next month but won’t be released until the third week of April. A previous report suggested that the release date will be April 18th.

Samsung is expected to start mass production of the Galaxy S8 from March. The company has reportedly set a shipment target of 60 million units for its next flagship smartphone.
