Google Pixel Audio Issue Is Hardware Related

Over the past few weeks, there have been many reports of Google Pixel handset users noticing static distortion at high volume. It wasn’t immediately clear what was causing this Google Pixel audio issue but there was no denying that this issue was present in more than a few units of Google’s new smartphone. The company now appears to have confirmed that the Google Pixel audio issue is hardware related.

Google has offered full refunds to customers, the move was seen as confirmation that the issue wasn’t one that could easily be fixed via a software update.

The company has also sent out a new email to one Pixel owner which properly confirms that the Google Pixel audio issue is related to hardware. It also mentions that no refunds are being handed out for the affected devices at this point in time but customers will be offered a warranty replacement.

Google’s confirmation of the issue at least puts an end to guessing what might be wrong with your handset if you’re experiencing the same issue with your Pixel or Pixel XL device. Even if it’s not in the mood to give you your money back, the company is going to offer you a replacement as long as your handset is under warranty.
