Nintendo To Increase The Production Of The Switch

nintendo-switch-dockIt seems that pre-orders for the Nintendo Switch are going great because during the company’s latest financials, Nintendo president Tatsumi Kimishima revealed that they are planning on increasing the production of the device. We can only assume that increased production means that there is a bigger demand than Nintendo had previously thought.

Kimishima also revealed that the console will be out in March but for some regions, stock might not be available until April or later. That being said, the increased production seems to be in line with earlier reports in which it was suggested that in Japan, the Switch’s pre-orders have reached 80% of initial shipments.

We’ve also heard that over in Sweden, the console is seeing more advanced bookings compared to the PS4 when it first launched. We’re not sure how well the console is faring in the US, so it might be a bit too early to call the console a runaway success, at least for now. As for shortages, Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aime did previously state that there will not be supply issues like with the NES Classic, so hopefully with the increased production his words will hold true.

In the meantime how many of you guys are planning on getting the Switch? Or is the lack of games at launch and/or its price putting you off?
