Samsung Galaxy Note 8 4K Display Rumored

The Galaxy Note 7 ended up being a disaster for Samsung even though it could have been one of the best-selling handsets. While there has been speculation about Samsung killing the Note lineup, so far it seems highly unlikely that the company would take such a major step. The rumor mill is convinced that there’s going to be a new Note handset this year and it’s now expecting the device to tout a 4K Ultra HD display.

4K displays have been rumored for Samsung flagships for a couple of years now but the company has stuck with the 2K display and is expected to do so for the Galaxy S8 as well.

The average user may not be able to tell the difference between a 2K and 4K display but such a high-resolution panel will provide an enhanced virtual reality experience, and since Samsung has really been pushing mobile VR these past few years, it makes sense for the company to finally make the jump.

It’s also claimed that Bixby, the artificial intelligence-powered virtual assistant that the company is said to debut with the Galaxy S8, will make its way to the Galaxy Note 8. That’s to be expected if Bixby is indeed introduced with the Galaxy S8 in a couple of months from now.

No word as yet on whether Samsung is going to tweak the release timeline for the Galaxy Note 8. If history is any indication, we should expect the company to unveil its new phablet in August/September 2017.
