Samsung Korea Confirms Pricing Of 6GB Galaxy S8+

Recently Samsung Korea pretty much confirmed the existence of the 6GB Samsung Galaxy S8+. However for those who are curious about the pricing of the phone, Samsung Korea has revealed those details (via SamMobile) as well and sure enough as per the previous rumors, this phone will not come cheap.

In an earlier post, it was rumored that the 6GB variant could cost upwards of $1,000 and according to Samsung Korea’s announcement, it is true as the handset’s price has been revealed as 1,155,000 KRW which is $1,032 after conversion, but this is only if it is purchased with a contract. Off-contract pricing was revealed as 1,270,000 KRW which is roughly $1,135 after conversion.

As it stands the Galaxy S8+ is priced at $850 which is slightly higher than what we’ve been used to, but these prices would make it several hundred dollars more. We’re not sure who might need so much RAM in their phones, but we guess the option is there for customers who are willing to pay for it.

So far the 6GB 128GB storage variant has been confirmed for Korea but it is also expected to find its way to China, thanks to a recent listing on China’s TENAA website. There’s no telling if Samsung will eventually launch the 6GB version stateside or other parts of the world, but we’ll be keeping our eyes peeled and will update you guys if it does.
