Samsung Chromebook Pro Now Available For Purchase

Samsung unveiled two new Chrome OS-powered notebooks back at the Consumer Electronics Show 2017 in January this year. The Chromebook Plus and Chromebook Pro were both unveiled in January. Samsung released the Chromebook Plus soon after it was launched but the Chromebook Pro’s release was delayed a couple of times. Those who have been meaning to pick one up will be delighted to know that the Chromebook Pro is finally available for purchase starting today.

The Chromebook Pro is Samsung’s high-end Chrome OS-powered notebook. It’s powered by the Intel Core M3 processor coupled with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of eMMC storage. It also features a 12.3 inch 2400×1600 pixel resolution display with a 3:2 aspect ratio.

One of the biggest selling points of this notebook is that it has support for Android apps. However, that’s also the reason why the release of this notebook was delayed. Google required more time to fine tune the Android app experience on Chrome OS. Once that was done, Samsung could release the notebook.

Interested customers in the United States can head over to Samsung’s own website or Amazon to purchase the Chromebook pro. It has been priced at $549 which is $100 more than the Chromebook Plus. It’s likely that the notebook will be made available for purchase from other retailers in the near future as well.
