T-Mobile To Release Nougat For Galaxy S6 Edge+ This Week

There’s only one major carrier left that hasn’t released the Android 7.0 Nougat update for the Galaxy S6 Edge+ in the United States as yet. Verizon, AT&T, and Sprint have all released said update for the handset. T-Mobile has kept users waiting for it and now the carrier has confirmed that it’s going to release Nougat for the Galaxy S6 Edge+ later this week.

The carrier’s product guy @askdes has confirmed over Twitter that T-Mobile has now received approval for the Android 7.0 Nougat update for the Galaxy S6 Edge+. That’s a crucial step out of the way which means that it’s now ready to start rolling out this software update.

It has been confirmed that T-Mobile is going to start rolling out Android 7.0 Nougat for the Galaxy S6 Edge+ this week.

Since major updates are always released in stages, users will have to wait for a couple of days so that the update can go live in all regions of the country. It shouldn’t take more than a couple of days, though, so it’s not going to be a long wait.

T-Mobile said that it will start pushing out this software update for the Galaxy S6 Edge+ early this week so users should expect to see an over-the-air update notification on their handsets very soon if they haven’t already.
