Alleged iPhone 8 Screen Protector ‘Confirms’ Bezel-less Design

One of the biggest changes that Apple is said to make to its iPhone 8 this year is to its design. Given that Apple has pretty much kept to the same design for the past 3 iPhone generations, it’s safe to say that many are looking forward to seeing something fresh from the company, and this year’s changes are said to be huge.

One of those changes is to the display of the iPhone, which is rumored to offer up a near bezel-less design. Whether or not the rumors are true remains to be seen, but companies such as Samsung and LG have been working towards slimmer bezels, so it wouldn’t be a stretch to think Apple would too. In fact in a recent tweet by Benjamin Geskin, the design of the iPhone 8 might have been “confirmed”.

In the tweet, Geskin shared a photo that you can see above which is allegedly a screen protector designed for the iPhone 8. The screen protector is being offered on UK retailer Mobile Fun’s website and it is made by Olixar. Now we have no way of knowing if this screen protector is the real deal or if Olixar is simply basing their design on rumors, but if true then it certainly does confirm what we’ve heard so far.

What’s interesting is also how this screen protector has four circular cutouts in the front. We know one is definitely for the ambient light sensor, one could possibly be for the front-facing camera, but the other two are interesting, although there have been rumors that suggest that Apple could include facial scanning technology, but either way it’s probably best taken with a grain of salt for now.
