New Alleged Photos Of The Google Pixel 2 Have Surfaced

With the success that Google saw with its Pixel handsets from last year, we’re sure that many fans and users are looking forward to seeing what Google could have up their sleeves this year. We’ve seen some alleged renders, and thanks to a report from Evan Blass on VentureBeat, additional photos of the handset have surfaced.

We should point out that these photos share similarities to that of the renders we saw not too long ago, so at the very least the rumors are consistent with each other. However as Blass points out, it seems that Google has decided to forgo the current design trend of smartphones by keeping the bezels around the phone’s display pretty thick, which you can see in the image above.

Apparently Google is still sticking with HTC for the manufacturing of the Pixel 2, and have only told them to make iterative design changes, so if you liked the Pixel’s design last year, then this year’s model won’t be too drastically different, which could be a good or bad thing depending on how you look at it.

The photos also confirm that Google will not be including a dual camera setup, which is odd considering that seems to be the trend and direction most smartphone makers are headed down these days. The report also “confirms” that the Pixel 2 handsets will be ditching the 3.5mm headphone jack, which seems to be the only trend that Google will be following.
