Passengers Can Now Request A Lyft Ride Within Amtrak’s App

Lyft has been on a partnership spree recently. They have teamed up with not only Taco Bell, but recently they also announced a partnership with Disney, and it looks like they’re not quite done just yet. Lyft has recently announced that they will be working with Amtrak in that passengers on Amtrak can now request for a Lyft ride within the Amtrak app.

According to Lyft, “At Lyft, our mission is to improve transportation in the cities we call home for both riders and drivers. To help close the gap between public transit and your doorstep, we’re teaming up with Amtrak. Rides to transit stations are among Lyft’s most popular routes, making up 25% of rides in Chicago alone. With this partnership, it’s easier than ever to get there: Simply request a ride directly from Amtrak’s app.”

They add, “Together, Lyft and Amtrak create a seamless solution with no need for parking, cash, or rides from unreliable relatives.” The best part is that Lyft will also be offering riders a discount of $5 each on their first four rides, and all they have to do is use the code AMTRAKLYFT when booking their ride to get $5 off, which depending on how far you stay from the train station, could basically mean an almost-free ride.
