Moto Z 2018 Smartphone Announced

It wasn’t too long ago that Motorola/Lenovo announced the successor in the Moto Z lineup in the form of the Moto Z2. However it seems that over in China, Lenovo has announced another Moto Z handset dubbed the Moto Z 2018, and if you’re a bit confused by the naming, we don’t blame you.

Basically the Moto Z 2018 is a smartphone meant to celebrate the 45th anniversary since Motorola launched their very first mobile phone. As you can tell in the photo above, the Moto Z 2018 has been designed to be a bit of a luxurious affair, and for the most part it does come packed with some of the latest hardware for smartphones.

For its chassis, it will feature the use of reinforced aviation grade aluminum that measures just 6.1mm thick, and it will also sport a 5.5-inch AMOLED display with a 2K resolution, along with ShatterShield protection. We are also looking at the use of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 chipset with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of built-in storage.

The phone will also come with a 5MP front-facing camera with an 85-degree wide-angle lens, dual 12MP cameras on its back, and a 2,730mAh battery with support for Turbo Fast Charging. At the moment it seems to be limited to China where it will retail for 9,999 Yuan and will be available come 6th of November.
