Huawei Mate 10 Pro Might Be Launched As An AT&T Exclusive

Huawei is one of the fastest growing smartphone vendors in the world. It has shipped 100 million handsets so far this year. Despite its success in the smartphone market, Huawei’s devices are not sold by carrier partners in the United States. It’s possible to get them retailers and online via Amazon, but you won’t find one at your preferred carrier. That might be about to change in the near future.

It appears that Huawei might be gearing up to launch the Mate 10 Pro officially in the United States. When the handset arrives, it’s expected to be exclusive to AT&T.

The Huawei Mate 10 Pro was recently announced and while the company didn’t confirm this at that point in time, it’s now expected to launch it in the U.S. as an AT&T-exclusive.

Some firmware files have been discovered that show code for the AT&T-variant of this handset. The modified code suggests that the model headed to AT&T might be different to the one that’s going to be released elsewhere.

The firmware files also reveal that AT&T bloatware will be present on top of Android 8.0 Oreo and Huawei’s EMUI 8.0, but that’s to be expected from any carrier-branded Android device.

Huawei and AT&T have yet to confirm anything about the Mate 10 Pro’s official launch in the United States. We can expect to hear more about this in the coming weeks.
