Samsung May Release Galaxy S8 Android 8.0 Beta 3 Soon

Samsung launched an Android 8.0 Oreo beta program for the Galaxy S8 several weeks ago. Users in select markets who have received a spot on the program can try out the beta firmware before Oreo is released for the flagship smartphone. Samsung has released two beta firmware for the Galaxy S8 so far and it appears that the Android 8.0 Oreo beta 3 may be released soon for the Galaxy S8.

Samsung launched the Galaxy S8 Android 8.0 Oreo beta program earlier this month. The beta has been rolled out in the United States, South Korea, and the United Kingdom in the first phase.

The Samsung UK admin on the Samsung Members community has revealed that work on the third beta firmware for the Galaxy S8 is nearly complete and that it’s going to be released “very, very soon.” This was in response to a customer query about the expected release of the third beta.

What the company hasn’t revealed at this point in time is when the second phase of this beta program will take place. The beta is expected to be expanded to markets like India, China, and Germany in the second phase.

Samsung is yet to confirm when it’s going to release Android 8.0 Oreo for the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ to the public. Some reports suggest that this might not happen before early next year.
