The Unlocked LG V30 Is Now Available In The US

If you liked what you saw when LG announced the LG V30 and wouldn’t mind getting your hands on it, but were a bit put off by the carriers and their contracts, you’ll be pleased to learn that LG has officially made the handset available unlocked in the US. The phone is available from the likes of B&H and Best Buy where it is priced at around the $800 mark.

Basically what the unlocked variant means for customers is that customers will get to pick and choose their carriers and hop around if that’s what they wish. The only downside is that you’ll have to fork out the full retail price for the phone, as opposed to being able to pay less or pay through installments if bought through a carrier, but if you want that freedom, then we guess that’s the price you’ve got to pay for it.

The LG V30 is LG’s latest flagship smartphone and comes with the hardware to prove it. We’re talking about the use of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset, 4GB of RAM, up to 128GB of onboard storage, a 6-inch 18:9 2880×1440 OLED display, and on the back we’re also looking a a dual 16MP camera setup with OIS, and a 90-degrees 5MP front-facing shooter.

It will also feature IP68 certification which means that it will be both water and dust resistant up to a certain degree.
