Alleged Moto Z3, Moto Z3 Play Specs & Features Leaked

Following the release of the Moto Z2 series of phones in 2017, it’s not a stretch to think that Motorola could be readying a successor for 2018. According to the folks at Droid-Life, it seems that renders and specs of the upcoming handset might have been potentially revealed, although they are unable to confirm if any of it is authentic.

Starting with the design, as you can see in the render above, for the most part Motorola has kept the design somewhat the same. However they have expanded the display a bit by reducing its borders. The bezel-less display design is something we’ve been seeing for the past year or so, so this isn’t too surprising.

In terms of specs, word has it that the Moto Z3 will feature a 6-inch 18:9 FHD display, which does seem a bit odd since QHD is more or less the standard these days. However while it might lack in the display department, the processor department won’t disappoint as it is rumored to feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 chipset.

Apart from that not much else is known about the phone, although the report does claim that there could be a 5G Moto Mod. Basically this mod would allow users to add 5G capabilities to their phones without having to buy a new one. Given that carriers like AT&T are planning to roll out 5G in 2018, this mod could come in handy. Needless to say that this should probably be best taken with a grain of salt for now.
