After posting a teaser trailer online for the upcoming season of Silicon Valley several weeks ago, HBO has now released a full new Silicon Valley season 5 trailer. The trailer is meant to get the hype going for the upcoming season of this hit show, which for the first time ever is Erlich Bachman-free. Bachman used to be a character played by T.J. Miller who was written out of the show in the previous season.
Richard Hendricks, played by Thomas Middleditch, finds himself in the hospital and then begins to take concrete steps to take Pied Piper to new heights. He hires 50 new employees and then tried to prove himself as a worthy CEO.
The Gavin Belson character is still around and still bent on crushing Pied Piper so the startup has to go against the Silicon Valley giant as it tries to navigate its way in the highly competitive business.
Erlich Bachman used to be a regular fixture on the show but it became evident that he was being written out of the show in the previous season when he traveled to Tibet with Belson for a visit to a monastery and decided to stay behind.
“The producers of Silicon Valley and T.J. Miller have mutually agreed that T.J. will not return for season 5,” HBO confirmed in a statement back in May last year. Silicon Vallery season 5 premieres on HBO come March 25th.
