New LG Flagship Smartphone Launch Expected In June

The LG G7 won’t be announced at the upcoming Mobile World Congress 2018 in Barcelona. While earlier reports had suggested that the handset might be launched at this event, it appears that the company will launch a revamped version of the LG V30 instead. So what about a new LG flagship smartphone? According to another report, the company has an entirely new smartphone in the pipeline which it’s going to launch in June this year.

It was reported earlier this year that LG is shaking up its mobile strategy as it looks to turn its fortunes around. The new device is reportedly not going to be called the LG G7 even though it will be following up after the LG G6.

The new handset, codenamed Judy, will apparently feature an all-new design with a 6.1 inch 18:9 Full Vision Display. It’s said to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage.

Additional features include dual 16 megapixel rear cameras with f/1.6 lenses and IP68 dust and water resistance as well as military standard durability. It may even feature stereo speakers, HDR10 support, and wireless charging.

LG is reportedly going to launch the new handset in June this year and it’s unclear right now precisely when the handset might be released across the globe. No word as yet on the pricing for this handset but since it’s a high-end device, it’s likely going to cost more than $600.
