Snapchat Users Are Petitioning To Revert To The Old Design

snapchat uploadSnapchat has been criticized in the past as being a bit confusing for new users. This is because the messenger app doesn’t seem to follow more “traditional” designs (which apparently has been catered towards the younger crowd). However Snap later announced that they will be revamping the app’s design which was supposed to be a good thing.

Unfortunately it seems that a good number of Snapchat users don’t feel that way and have since launched a petition on Change.org asking the company to revert to the old design. The petition reads, “With the release of the new Snapchat update, many users have found that it has not made the app easier to use, but has in fact made many features more difficult.”

It adds, “Many ‘new features’ are useless or defeats the original purposes Snapchat has had for the past years.” So far over 600,000 people have signed the petition, with a goal of hitting 1 million. Of course whether or not Snap will listen to the masses and revert to the original/old design remains to be seen.

As it stands it seems that users can get back the old Snapchat design which we have reported on in an earlier post, although this method seems to only work for iPhones and not Android devices. Some alternative methods also involve the use of a VPN, which clearly is not the most ideal or efficient.
