NBA TV And MLB Network Now Available On YouTube TV

Standalone TV streaming services like Sling TV and YouTube TV focus on providing a lot of options for sports fans who are looking to cut the cord. Sports fans are some of the most engaged TV viewers so it would make sense for these companies who are going up against traditional cable providers to try and win them over. In a bid to do that, and just before its impending price hike, YouTube TV has added NBA TV and MLB Network to the lineup.

YouTube TV, Google’s standalone live TV streaming service, now offers the NBA TV and MLB Network channels to sports fans. The company has added both new channels to its lineup merely days before its scheduled to increase the monthly subscription price from $35 to $40.

The addition of NBA TV and MLB Network means that there are now more than 60 broadcast and cable networks offered by YouTube TV. Most of these channels can stream content to more than 100 regions supported by this service but some networks do place restrictions on broadcasts and limit it to video-on-demand content only.

Those who haven’t signed up for YouTube TV yet but are now interested to because of these two networks, they can sign up for the service via the YouTube TV website. Those who sign up before March 13th, which is when the price hike goes into effect, will be able to keep the original $35 per month subscription fee.
