For the past few years we’ve been hearing that Apple will be shifting to the use of OLED screens for its iPhones, and last year that was finally proven true with the iPhone X. However the rumors have been claiming that Apple will take a few years before all its iPhones start to use OLED, and this new report from ET News seems to corroborate those claims.
We have been hearing that Apple has been trying to find OLED suppliers besides Samsung and have apparently invested in LG to help the company get its OLED production up and running. In addition to the OLED rumors, the report is also claiming that Apple will be maintaining its three iPhone lineup even in 2019.
This year we are expected to get three iPhones, with one model maintaining the iPhone X’s 5.8-inch display, a 6.1-inch LCD model, and a 6.5-inch iPhone. Assuming it’s true for this year, we expect that Apple will maintain those sizes next year as well.
