Rocket League Cross-Platform Party Coming This Summer

As it stands, Rocket League already supports cross-platform play, but unfortunately what it lacks is cross-platform party support. This means that while you might be able to play with other players on different platforms, you won’t actually be able to form parties with them and play together.

However the good news is that will change this coming summer. Announced on the Rocket League website, the developers behind the game have confirmed that cross-platform party support will be arriving this July. It will be a relatively straightforward process where users have to first register an ID that’s a combination between a name and a unique code, after which they can add friends by their ID and party up with them in games.

If this sounds familiar, it is because at the start of the year, Psyonix did announce that they will be bringing cross-platform party support to the game, but they did not mention when that will be taking place. However this announcement confirms that we will be able to look forward to the new feature in the coming months, so do keep an eye out for it if this sounds like something you and your friends have been looking forward to.

In the meantime additional details about upcoming changes and updates to the game can be found on Rocket League’s website.
