Kingdom Hearts 3 Release Date Made Official

Square Enix’s Kingdom Hearts 3 is a title that’s being anxiously awaited by fans across the globe. Multiple trailers and screenshots of the new game have already been released online to create hype for the game. It was reported last month that the Kingdom Hearts 3 release date will finally be made official in June and that report as turned out to be true because Square Enix has officially revealed when this game is going to be out.

Square Enix confirmed at the KH Orchestra World Tour that Kingdom Hearts 3 is going to be released for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on January 29th, 2019.

An apology from series director Tetsuya Nomura also accompanied the announcement, it was for the delay because the game was actually supposed to be released later this year. He apologized to fans on behalf of the development team that just needs a bit more time than originally anticipated to complete their work on the title.

This is the first proper new Kingdom Hearts game in over a decade as Kingdom Hearts 2 was released for the PlayStation 2 some 13 years ago. Square Enix kept fans interested with prequels and remixes but since this is the first new KH game in such a long time, fans have obviously been waiting for it.

Square Enix will reveal more details about Kingdom Hearts 3 at its E3 conference on June 11th. It will also show off new trailers during the press event.
