Sony Xperia XZ2 Android P Beta 2 Download Available Now

The Sony Xperia XZ2 is one of the few devices that supports the public Android P beta program that Google announced last month. The first beta release is already out for this and other supported handsets and now they’re gradually receiving the second beta as well. Sony has now started rolling out the Xperia XZ2 Android P Beta 2 download for devices on the beta program.

It has only been five days since Google released the second beta of its next major iteration of the Android platform and Sony has already started rolling it out for the Xperia XZ2. The company has confirmed that the second beta is now being seeded to devices on the beta program.

The latest firmware update for devices running the beta version includes some bug fixes and overall improvements. There doesn’t seem to be much in the way of new features included in this beta release. Issues related to wireless charging have been fixed with this update as well while the use of 4G and Wi-Fi hotspots shouldn’t present any more problems to users as well.

Those Xperia XZ2 owners who are already on the first beta will soon receive an over-the-air update which will bump them up to the latest release. Those who are not on the beta can visit Sony’s Android P website to get the firmware manually.
