BlackBerry Key2 LE Specs And Image Leaked

A recent FCC listing suggested that there’s a variant of the BlackBerry Key2 in the pipeline. A new leak has revealed the BlackBerry Key2 LE specs and also given us our first look at the upcoming handset from BlackBerry Mobile, the TCL division that makes BlackBerry-branded smartphones now.

The Key2 is the successor to the BlackBerry KeyOne which was well received by the QWERTY faithful. It’s an Android-powered device with a full keyboard. The successor has a faster processor and more RAM. It’s also the first BlackBerry-branded device with a dual camera.

The company priced at $100 more than its predecessor which isn’t something that a lot of fans would have liked. The BlackBerry Key2 LE is meant to entice those customers. It reportedly features the Snapdragon 636 processor instead of the 660 on the Key2 with 4GB of RAM instead of 6GB.

It will retain the 4.5 inch 1080×1620 pixel resolution LCD display but swap the 3,500mAh battery for a 3,000mAh pack. While it will also have a dual camera at the back, it won’t be the 12 + 12 megapixel unit of the Key2 but a 13 + 5 megapixel camera.

It’s unclear right now what will be the price tag of this device. These spec changes will have enabled TCL to shave a reasonable amount off of the Key2’s $650 price tag.
