Moto Z3 Announced For Verizon With 5G Moto Mod

With carriers beginning to roll out 5G coverage this year and expect a wider roll out next year, it means that as consumers, we need to start looking out for 5G capable handsets. The good news is that Verizon has you covered because together with Motorola, they have launched the Moto Z3 with a 5G Moto Mod.

The Moto Z3 is essentially the bigger brother of the Moto Z3 Play and we’ve actually been hearing about it for a while now. In terms of specs, the Moto Z3 will feature a 6-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display, the use of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 chipset with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage.

The phone will also come with dual rear-facing cameras with a 12MP full-color sensor and a 12MP monochrome sensor, and there will also be an 8MP front-facing camera. The phone will also be packing a 3,000mAh battery. Like we said, there will also be an accompanying 5G Moto Mod which when attached to the phone, will allow it to hook onto 5G networks.

This means that if you buy this phone now, with the 5G Moto Mod you should not have any issues connecting to 5G networks in the future. The Moto Z3 will be priced at $20 a month for 24 months and will be exclusive to Verizon which will launch on the 16th of August. No word on when the 5G Moto Mod will be released but those details will be announced later this year.
