Last week thanks to a photo, the Google Pixel 3 Xl was spotted in the wild. Now thanks to another from MobileSyrup, it looks like yet another photo of the Pixel 3 XL has been spotted in the wild again, this time on a TTC subway. In the photo above it shows the person using a handset that looks like the renders that we’ve seen of the upcoming Pixel 3 smartphones.

The phone in question is the Pixel 3 XL thanks to its notch. This is because if the rumors and renders are to be believed, the Pixel 3 will not be featuring a notch, and that will only be exclusive to the XL model. Now you might think that the phone could be just about any modern Android smartphone with a notch, but the same reader snapped another photo (see below) which shows the back of the phone.

This makes it clearer that this handset in question is indeed the Pixel 3 thanks to the dual-tone design which Google has used in the past. It is also in line with an earlier render which revealed that the black/grey dual tones are one of the color options that will be available. Also it looks like Google will continue using a single camera setup on the back, but interestingly enough there are rumors that the dual camera setup will be part of the front.

We have heard reports of a “Face Match” feature in Android which sounds like it could be a more advanced form of facial recognition, which could explain why it requires dual cameras. Either way take it with a grain of salt, but the Pixel 3s are expected to be announced in October which means that we have more than a month left until we get the official details.
