If you’re a fan of the Castlevania series and wouldn’t mind reliving some classics, then you might be very excited and pleased to learn that Konami has announced that two Castlevania classics will be making its way onto the Sony PS4 next month. This comes in the form of Rondo of Blood and Symphony of the Night, both of which are scheduled for a release on the 26th of October.

According to Konami, these are more than just ports as they have been emulated for the PS4, which means support for higher-resolution graphics and some other modern features like achievements. “Both games are the originals emulated for the PlayStation 4, with several updates that take advantage of the new hardware. This includes 4K/1080p upscaling, multiple high resolution backgrounds, different rendering options such as smoothing and full Trophy support.”

Both games will also take advantage of some of the features of the DualShock 4 controller, such as its built-in vibration and speakers. “Elsewhere, Requiem will make use of the DualShock 4’s vibration, analog stick and speaker, with the latter meaning you’ll hear a cool little chime when you pick up an item.” If all of this sounds good to you, you can actually go ahead and pre-order them now from the PlayStation Store where they will cost $20 in a single bundled package.
