Microsoft To Unveil New Surface Devices On October 2nd

It appears that Microsoft is aiming to launch new Surface devices next month. The company has started sending invites to the press for an event on October 2nd. While there have been a lot of rumors recently about hardware products that the company may have in the pipeline, what we’re most likely going to get at the event are refreshed models of its existing Surface lineup.

The event invites asking for a “moment of your time” have now been sent out to members of the press. Microsoft’s fall hardware event is going to take place on October 2nd at 4 PM ET in New York City.

The invite itself doesn’t provide any hints of what the company will be unveiling at the event. One can reasonably expect updated models of the Surface lineup to be announced at the event on October 2nd.

Some reports suggest that perhaps the Surface Pro could get a design revamp but there have been whispers that this update may not be ready until 2019. The Surface Studio, Microsoft’s all-in-one PC, is due for a refresh though as it was launched almost two years ago.

Fortunately, October 2nd isn’t that far off, so it won’t be long before we know for sure what Microsoft has up its sleeve.
